Arts-Focused (Audition) Public High Schools

The NYC Department of Education provides families with a diverse choice of arts-focused schools with strong academic curricula. To apply for arts programs at particular Public High Schools, students must complete an Audition process for each program to which they wish to apply. Last admissions season, all auditions were virtual submissions. For this cycle, families should be prepared to submit virtual auditions. Arts programs available at NYC Public High Schools are distributed among the disciplines listed below. The NYC DOE announces all public high school offers in early March. Please refer to the High School Auditions page to learn more about the auditions and portfolio submission process.
