Welcome to the third issue of Noticias de los Exalumnos de MCS (MCS Alumni News), Manhattan Country School’s new digital newsletter for MCS alumni and their parents. This publication will be your main source for MCS news, upcoming events, Alumni Association announcements, alumni features, volunteer opportunities and more. It will arrive in your inbox about once per month. It was a long-time dream for world-renowned DJ Stretch Armstrong to spin in the MCS Music Room and in less than two weeks, it will finally become a reality! We hope you can join us for the highly anticipated Young Alumni Party Featuring Stretch Armstrong (Adrian Bartos ‘83) on Saturday, November 14 from 7-10pm. Read more
While all of her old MCS classmates are in their first year of college, Mayo Saji ’11 is in the midst of a gap year. This semester, she has been working at Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program (SAVI), as the Outreach and Training Program assistant. At Mt. Sinai, she is helping to recruit and organize a new youth group program called the SAVI Feminist Collective in which high school females discuss modern feminist issues and work towards creating a dialogue in their communities as well as solutions.   Read more

Great things are happening for Manhattan Country School alumni. One is the subject of a recently released documentary about a groundbreaking hip-hop radio show. Another broke barriers in the modeling world and is now telling the story of Harlem with his own magazine column. And yet another is making great strides by taking a gap year between high school and college. You can read about these alumni and more in the next issue of MCS Courtyard. Read more
