Save the Date for Big Night Out!
Saturday, May 1 at The Prince George Ballroom

Please join the MCS community at our annual spring benefit, honoring excellence and leadership in progressive education, social and environmental justice, and community activism. Upper School Assembly
Wednesday, March 10, 9:00 am
Parents are invited to the Music Room to participate in “A Snapshot of Electives” – Students in the 6th-8th grade will share work from various elective classes including Acting, Musical Theater, Yoga, and Activism.

8th Grade Mentoring Day
Tuesday, March 16

8th grade students will have the opportunity to travel around New York City and meet with alumni, current parents, and friends of MCS that work in fields of interest.

Haiti, What Now?
Tuesday, March 23, 6:15 pm

Manhattan Country School's Board of Trustees and Parents Association host a panel discussion on Haitian civil rights, economic stability, immigration, and environmental sustainability in light of the earthquake. For more information, click here.

MCS Teachers Present at NYSAIS Diversity Conference
Friday, April 9th

Three MCS Teachers will present at the New York State Association of Independent Schools Annual Diversity Conference. 6th Grade Teacher Maiya Jackson will present "I Have a Dream: Teaching the Civil Rights Movement to Middle School Students"; 5th Grade Teacher Pinki Shah will share "Stewards of Identity: A Curriculum of Sustainability, Photos, Cultural Exchange and Children's Learning"; and Upper School Spanish Teacher Naomi Enright will discuss "Replacing Stereotypes with Cultural Awareness in the Language Classroom."
